Connect TileSet to ChatGPT
Add TileSet to ChatGPT as a custom connector, then ask it to set up a feed or a review wall and give you the snippet for your site.
ChatGPT can set up your TileSet sources and widgets from a chat. It cannot edit your website, so you paste the snippet it gives you. If an agent is building your site, the Claude Code, Cursor and Lovable guides go one step further and let it paste the snippet too.
Before you start
- A ChatGPT plan that allows custom connectors. OpenAI has put these behind a developer mode setting on some plans; check yours under Settings.
- A Google account. Your TileSet account is created the first time you sign in, free, with no card.
- Access to the account you want to show.
Set it up
-
In ChatGPT’s Settings, find Connectors (you may need to turn on developer mode first) and create a new connector.
-
Name it TileSet, use this as the MCP server URL, and pick OAuth for authentication:
https://app.tileset.com/mcp -
A TileSet page opens. Sign in with Google or by email, and approve access.
-
In a new chat with the connector turned on, ask: “Add my YouTube channel @yourchannel to my homepage with TileSet”.
ChatGPT replies with two lines: a script tag and a div. Paste them where the feed should go. The guides for WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow and Odoo show where that is.
Is it safe?
The connector gets a TileSet key for your widgets and sources, never your social passwords or the platform tokens. TileSet also never hands it your content, from any source: ChatGPT sees which sources and widgets you have, their settings and counts such as how many reviews a source holds, and a preview of the widget as visitors see it. You read the posts and reviews themselves in your dashboard. Revoke it any time under Agents & API in your dashboard.
Common questions
I can’t find the connector settings. OpenAI changes where these live and which plans get them. Look under Settings for Connectors or Apps, and for an advanced or developer mode switch.
