Add TileSet to Lovable
Connect TileSet to Lovable as a custom MCP connector, then ask Lovable to put your Google reviews or YouTube videos on the site it is building.
Before you start
- A Lovable project for your website.
- A Google account. Your TileSet account is created the first time you sign in, free, with no card.
- Access to the account you want to show: your Google Business listing or your YouTube channel handle.
Set it up
-
In Lovable, open the chat connectors and add a custom MCP server.
-
Use this URL, and choose OAuth as the sign-in method:
https://app.tileset.com/mcp -
A TileSet page opens. Sign in with Google or by email, and approve access. There is no key to copy.
-
In the project chat, ask: “Add my YouTube channel @yourchannel to my homepage with TileSet”.
Lovable adds a script tag and a div to your page. That is the whole install. The feed refreshes on our side, so the code Lovable wrote never needs touching when you post something new.
What to ask for next
- “Add our Google reviews to the landing page, above the footer.”
- “Match the feed to the site: rounded corners, a bit more space between tiles.”
- “Is the TileSet widget on the published site working?”
Is it safe?
Lovable gets a TileSet key for your widgets and sources, never your social passwords or the platform tokens, which stay encrypted with us. TileSet also never hands it your content, from any source: Lovable sees which sources and widgets you have, their settings and counts such as how many reviews a source holds, and a preview of the widget as visitors see it. You read the posts and reviews themselves in your dashboard. The key shows up under Agents & API in your dashboard, and revoking it there cuts Lovable off at once.
Common questions
Lovable wants to fetch my reviews or videos itself. It does not need to. TileSet holds the tokens, the refresh schedule and the cache, and the page only needs the snippet. If Lovable starts writing API code, point it back at the TileSet tools.
Does it slow the site down? The script is under 10 KB compressed, loads after the page, and sets no cookies.
Can the site be in more than one language? Universally translates Lovable sites with one line of code. It is an Awesome Motive product, like TileSet, and translates this site. More on works well with.
