Add live Google reviews or YouTube videos to Shopify
Add a Custom Liquid section in the Shopify theme editor, paste the TileSet snippet, and your store shows live Google reviews or YouTube videos.
Add it to your store
- In TileSet, build your widget and copy the snippet: a script tag and a
div. - In Shopify admin, go to Online Store, then Themes, and choose Customize on your live theme.
- Open the page you want (the homepage, a product template, or a page template), then Add section and pick Custom Liquid.
- Paste the snippet into the section’s Liquid box, drag the section where you want it, and Save.
Custom Liquid is part of Shopify’s Online Store 2.0 themes, which covers Dawn and most themes from the last few years. On an older theme without it, paste the snippet into a page’s content using the HTML view of the editor instead.
Showing it on every product page
Add the section to the product template rather than to one product. Every product that uses that template then shows the same widget. A Google reviews wall under the Add to cart button is a good place for it.
Common questions
Will it slow my store down? The script is under 10 KB compressed, loads after the page, and sets no cookies on your shoppers.
Can I use a different feed on different products? Yes. Build one widget per feed, and give each product template its own Custom Liquid section.
