Add live Google reviews or a social feed to Wix
Paste the TileSet snippet into a Wix Embed HTML element, size the box, publish, and your site shows live Google reviews, YouTube videos or a social feed.
Add it to a page
- In TileSet, build your widget and copy the snippet: a script tag and a
div. - In the Wix Editor, click Add Elements, then Embed Code, then Popular Embeds, then Embed HTML. In Wix Studio the path is Add Elements, Embed & Social, Embed Code.
- Click Enter Code, paste both lines of the snippet under Add your code here, and click Apply.
- Drag the box to the width you want and make it tall enough for the feed.
- Publish the site and open the live page. Check the published page, not the editor.
Paste both lines in the same box
Wix shows an Embed HTML element as a sandboxed iframe: a small page of its own that cannot reach the rest of your page. That is why the script tag and the div go together in the one box. A script added elsewhere on the site cannot see a div inside it, so splitting the two lines apart leaves the box empty.
The box does not grow with the feed. Make it tall enough for the layout you chose, and check the published page on a phone too, since a narrow screen makes the feed taller. If the lightbox is on, it opens inside the box, so a box that is too short makes it small.
Several feeds on one page
Add one Embed HTML element per widget, each with the full snippet.
What Wix limits
- Wix only shows HTTPS code, and the TileSet snippet is. The element has no character limit.
- If the box stays empty on a published page, check that you pasted both lines and that the box is tall enough.
- Settings, Custom Code is a different tool, for the head or body of your pages. It needs a published site with a connected domain, and changing the domain removes its snippets. It cannot place a
divwhere you want the feed, so TileSet does not use it.
Styling it to match
In TileSet you can set columns, the gap between tiles, corner radius and light or dark, so the feed sits in your design without extra CSS. The Embed HTML box has its own background: set the widget to match your page.
Check it works
- Publish the site and open the live page once in your browser, so the widget loads inside its box.
- On the widget’s Install tab, paste the page’s address into Check my page and press Check.
Our server cannot read inside the Embed HTML box, so the first check before the page has been opened says so: “Wix puts the snippet in a frame we cannot read from here.” Once the widget has loaded on your published page, it reports the page it sits on, and the check passes. If you set the widget up with an AI agent, its verify_install check works the same way. More in Install the snippet.
