Connect TileSet to the Claude app
Add TileSet as a custom connector in Claude on the web or desktop, then ask Claude to set up a Google reviews wall or a YouTube feed and hand you the snippet to paste.
This guide is for chatting with Claude at claude.ai or in the desktop app. Claude can set up your TileSet sources and widgets from the chat. It cannot edit your website, though, so you paste the snippet yourself at the end. If Claude Code is building your site, use the Claude Code guide and it will do the pasting too.
Before you start
- A Claude plan that allows custom connectors. Anthropic sets the limits per plan, so check yours under Settings.
- A Google account. Your TileSet account is created the first time you sign in, free, with no card.
- Access to the account you want to show: your Google Business listing or your YouTube channel handle.
Set it up
-
In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose to add a custom connector.
-
Name it TileSet and use this as the server URL:
https://app.tileset.com/mcp -
Choose Connect. A TileSet page opens; sign in with Google or by email, and approve access. There is nothing to paste.
-
Start a new chat and ask: “Add my YouTube channel @yourchannel to my homepage with TileSet”.
Claude replies with a two-line snippet: a script tag and a div. Paste it where the feed should go. The site builder guides for WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow and Odoo show where that is.
What to ask for next
- “Build a review wall from my Google listing. Here is the Maps link: …”
- “Change my feed widget to 3 columns and show likes and comments.”
- “List my widgets and give me the embed code for the reviews one.”
- “I pasted the snippet on https://example.com. Is it working?”
Is it safe?
Approving the connector gives Claude a TileSet key for your widgets and sources. It never sees your social passwords or the platform tokens, which stay encrypted on our side. TileSet also never hands it your content, from any source: Claude sees which sources and widgets you have, their settings and counts such as how many reviews a source holds, and a preview of the widget as visitors see it. You read the posts and reviews themselves in your dashboard. The key appears under Agents & API in your dashboard, and revoking it there cuts Claude off at once.
Common questions
The menu names look different in my Claude app. Anthropic moves these settings around from time to time. Look for Connectors, and for the option to add a custom one by URL.
Can Claude put the feed on my site by itself? Only if it can edit your site’s files, which is what Claude Code does. In the chat app, you paste the snippet.
