Templates

The two widget templates, which sources offer which, and the names the builder's Show as row gives them.

A widget is built from a source, or up to four in a mixed feed, and uses one template. The template follows the source, and the builder only offers what that source can back: where a source offers two, the builder’s Show as row names them by what they show, and where it offers one there is no row at all.

SourceShow as
YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Pinterestno choice: the feed grid
XPosts (every post as a card, text-only posts included) and Photos and videos (a grid of the posts with a photo or video)
Google reviewsReviews (the review wall, opened by default) and Photos only (only reviews that include customer photos)
Testimonialsno choice: the review wall

Behind the scenes there are two types, feed_grid (the feed grid) and review_wall (the review wall), the names an AI agent uses. Photos and videos, Photos only are the feed grid; Posts, Reviews are the review wall. You can switch a saved widget’s template later without recreating it. Your first widget gets the same choice in its second step, with the same default.

What differs

  • Feed grid tiles are images. Options: captions (off, on hover or always, with an optional overlay), likes and comments (where the source has them), a header with avatar, handle and follow link (a single account’s feed only), the lightbox and a platform icon. A Kick source is one live card instead of tiles (see Kick).
  • Review wall cards are text. Options: avatar, star rating, date, the business’s reply, a maximum number of text lines (longer text folds behind Show more), the lightbox and a platform icon.

Photos only and Photos and videos skip items without a photo or video, so a feed with few of them shows fewer tiles than you asked for. In the Bento layout those items show as text cards instead.

A mixed feed takes any sources whose type offers the template: a feed grid can mix Instagram, Instagram tagged, Facebook, Google, YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Pinterest, RSS feeds, Bluesky, Mastodon, X, JSON feeds and Google Sheets, and a review wall Google, WordPress.org, Testimonials, Facebook, RSS feeds, Bluesky, Mastodon, X, JSON feeds and Google Sheets. A calendar cannot be mixed: it keeps a widget of its own.
