Get started
Do I need a plugin for WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, Wix or Odoo?
No. The snippet is one script tag and one div, pasted into a Custom HTML block (WordPress), a Custom Liquid section (Shopify), a Code block (Squarespace), an Embed HTML element (Wix), a Code Embed (Webflow) or an Embed Code block (Odoo).
Why not have an AI agent write the feed code itself?
It can, and fetching a feed once is quick. The rest is what takes the time: a scheduled refresh to host, a cache for when the platform is down, renewing access tokens, serving images whose platform links expire, each platform's app review and deletion rules, and a script that keeps the page fast. TileSet runs all of that, and the same agent can install it with one call. Building it yourself is the better call when you need the raw data in your own database, or for a platform TileSet does not connect.
My widget shows nothing on my page. How do I find out why?
Open the widget, go to the Install tab, paste the page's address into Check my page and press Check. It tells you whether the script tag and this widget's div are on the page and whether the widget serves items, and gives a fix for the usual mistakes: a made-up id, a script your page builder stripped, a login or bot check, or an old cached page. A passed check marks the widget Installed. On Wix, open the published page once first: the snippet runs in a box our server cannot read, and the check passes on the widget's own report from that page.
What is the Get set up list in the bell?
A short checklist for a new account: connect a source, create a widget, install it on your page and check it, and optionally make a Link in bio page. Each step ticks itself from what is really on your account and links to where you do it. Press Hide to remove it; it also goes a day after the third step is done.
Sources
Can my customers send me testimonials?
Yes, on Starter and up. Add a Testimonials source, open its Testimonials dialog and turn on the Share a testimonial link, then send it to your customers. What they send waits for you: nothing shows on your widget until you approve it there, and, for what comes through the link, an automatic check marks the good ones and sets likely spam aside to save you time. Testimonials you type in yourself are free on every plan, show at once and use no credits.
What if spam fills my testimonial link?
The form can also ask for a quick person check and limits how often anyone can send, so spam is rare. On Starter and up an automatic check also sorts what your customers send through the link: likely spam goes to a **Filtered as likely spam** group (never on your widget, restorable with **Restore**, removable with **Delete all filtered**, deleted after 30 days) and it never approves anything. Filtered ones still count toward the 50, so clear them if the link pauses. If 50 testimonials from the link are waiting, the link pauses on its own and the bell tells you. In the Testimonials dialog, tick the spam and press **Decline selected**, press **Decline all**, or press **Delete all filtered**, and the link resumes by itself. You can also pause the link or replace it with a new address.
Can I show my Pinterest Pins?
Yes, on every plan, with no key and no sign-in to Pinterest. Add a Pinterest source and paste a public profile link (pinterest.com/name/), a board link (pinterest.com/name/board-name/) or type @name. The newest 24 Pins show as a photo grid that links to each Pin. A link to a single Pin, a pin.it short link and a secret board are not supported.
Can I show my X posts?
Yes, on every plan, with no key and no sign-in to X. Add an X source and type the account's @handle or paste a link to its x.com or twitter.com profile. The newest 24 posts show as a Posts wall of cards or a photo grid, with reposts, quoted posts and (if you turn them on) the account's own replies. It works for public accounts only. A free account can connect 10 different X accounts in any 30 days; paid plans have no limit. Each X update is a paid request, so X updates weekly at the fastest on Free and faster on higher plans (every 15 minutes on Scale), at 3 credits an update.
Can I show my Twitch channel?
Yes, with no key and no sign-in to Twitch. Add a Twitch source and type the channel's name or paste a link to its twitch.tv page. The channel's newest videos and its most viewed clips of the last 30 days show as a grid of 16:9 thumbnails, up to 24, newest first. With the lightbox on, a tile plays in Twitch's own player. While the channel streams, Live now in the header plays the stream on your page, in the lightbox or, with Live stream set to Inline, in a live card above the tiles. Twitch lets us keep a copy for 24 hours only, so the widget never shows content older than a day.
Can I show whether my Kick channel is live?
Yes, with no key and no sign-in to Kick. Add a Kick source and type the channel's name or paste a link to its kick.com page. The widget shows one card: when the channel is live, a Live now chip with the stream's title, category and viewer count, and a click on the picture plays the stream in Kick's own player, in the lightbox or, with Live stream set to Inline, right in the card; when it is offline, the channel's banner with a Follow on Kick link. It shows live status only, with no past broadcasts or clips. Status is read again when the widget is viewed, at most every 2 minutes, at no credit cost. Kick lets us keep a copy for 24 hours only, so the widget never shows content older than a day.
Why does my Google source show the wrong business?
The line Connected to under the source shows which business was matched. If it is not yours, remove the source and connect it again with the exact Google Maps link for your listing.
Why is my Google source waiting for tomorrow?
New Google places are fetched up to a daily number shared by everyone on TileSet, because the first gather of a place's reviews is the expensive part. On the free plan, a new Google source past that number connects and its reviews arrive after 00:00 UTC. Nothing is charged until then and there is nothing to do. Paid accounts never wait.
Can I rename a source?
Yes. A new source is named after its account (an @handle, a Page or business name, a plugin or feed title). On the Sources screen, click the name, type a new one and press Enter or click away (Escape puts the old name back). Reconnecting never overwrites a name you chose. An agent can rename it with update_source.
I only have a link. Which source do I pick?
You do not have to pick. Open Add a source, paste the link or handle into the box at the top (Find a source or paste a link) and TileSet says what it looks like, for example a YouTube channel or a Google Maps place. Press Connect and it is added the same way the platform's own form would add it. A link it cannot place says so and you pick a source yourself. An AI agent can do the same by calling setup_widget with just a query.
Widgets
Why does my widget show fewer posts than I asked for?
A source keeps its newest 24 items (a source that shows replies 24 posts plus 24 replies, a Google source up to 72 after its photo pass), so a widget never shows more than is cached. A Photos and videos grid or a Photos only wall skips posts without a photo or video, and filters remove items before the count is applied.
How do I remove a widget from my site?
Delete the snippet (the script tag and the div) from your page. To remove the widget from TileSet too, press Delete widget on its Install tab. A page that still has the snippet shows nothing in its place, not an error.
Can the snippet carry an integrity hash (Subresource Integrity)?
No, on purpose: a hash pins exact bytes, so every pasted snippet would break on our next update and miss every fix until replaced, which is why live services such as Stripe.js do not offer one either. Instead the script comes only from TileSet's own address under a version path (/v1/) that never breaks a pasted snippet, the hash of every file is public at /v1/tileset-manifest.json, and TileSet checks every day that what it serves matches.
Will it slow my website down?
No. The widget script is about 10 KB compressed, loads after your page and sets no cookies; the lightbox and some layouts load only when a widget uses them. Posts are cached close to your visitors. Tiles keep their shape while images load; give the widget's div a min-height if you want no movement at all when it first appears.
Why does my wall show fewer columns than I set?
On a review or posts wall, Columns is a maximum. Cards need about 220 px each, so a narrow screen shows fewer and widens back out as there is room.
How do I show only my best Google reviews?
Use the filters on the widget: minimum rating (3+, 4+ or 5), only reviews with photos, or a keyword. Filters are on Growth and up and are applied before the content reaches your page.
How do I hide YouTube Shorts?
In the widget's Shorts setting choose Hide Shorts, or Only Shorts to show nothing else. It works on every plan.
Can I put one widget on several pages?
Yes. Paste the same div on as many pages as you like and load the script once per page. Editing the widget updates all of them.
What does 'Shown with TileSet' mean, and can I remove it?
Widgets on the free plan show a small Shown with TileSet link under them. On Starter and up it is hidden, and a switch on Plans turns it back on if you want it.
Can I change my Link in bio address?
On Starter and up, yes, once every 90 days: change Address on the Link in bio screen and save. The old address keeps sending visitors to the new one for 30 days, and nobody else can take it for a year after that. On the free plan your page is given a short address of its own, like app.tileset.com/@k7m2qx, and it stays; when you move to Starter and pick your own, the assigned one keeps sending visitors to your page for good. An address you chose on a paid plan stays with your page if you stop paying, while the page is viewed or edited at least once a year. One page is free; Starter and up can have up to 10.
Can I change how my Link in bio page looks?
Yes, under Look on the Link in bio screen: a theme, light or dark, fonts, a background (glow, solid, gradient), button style, corners, the picture's shape and size, spacing and a centred or side by side header, on every plan. Link buttons can show an emoji icon or a small picture and a colour of their own, on every plan. Starter and up add your own colour for the whole page, which Match my logo can read from your logo file in your browser, and a blurred picture background. We adjust your colour where needed so every word stays readable, and there is no custom code, so the page stays fast and safe.
Credits and billing
Why is my feed not updating?
Check the source row first. If it says Needs reconnect, press Reconnect. Otherwise the usual causes are: the balance is low, so all your feeds are updating more slowly until the refill; the month's credit cap has been reached; the source is set to manual updates only; or, on the free plan, a source whose widgets nobody has viewed for 14 days has paused until the next view. Meanwhile your widget keeps showing its last good posts (for up to 30 days on an expired token).
What happens when I run out of credits?
Your feeds update more slowly, all by the same factor, until the next refill, and if the balance cannot pay for any update the sources wait. Widgets keep showing their last posts and nothing is deleted. You can choose slower speeds, buy a top-up on a paid plan, change plan, or wait for the refill.
Can I update a feed right now?
On Starter and up, press Update now on the source row, or give your CMS a webhook URL that updates it when you publish. There is a short wait between updates of the same source: 5 minutes, 15 for YouTube and an hour for review sources.
What is a credit?
A credit is what an update of a source spends. Showing a widget on your page costs nothing and page views are never counted. Most sources cost the least per update, YouTube about twice as much and Google reviews the most. Each source row shows its cost, and every plan adds a monthly allowance.
Which plan has what?
Every plan includes all templates, every layout, the lightbox, the New and Spotlight highlights, schedules and the monthly cap, with no limit on views. The free plan updates each source at most daily and holds 3 live sources. Starter and up add hourly updates, 25 sources, Update now, manual-only mode, webhook URLs, analytics, credit top-ups, and hiding the Shown with TileSet link. Growth and up add updates as often as every 15 minutes and review filters (rating, photos, keyword). Each plan adds a larger monthly allowance of credits. The Plans screen shows the current prices.
Is there a limit on page views?
No. Page views are unlimited on every plan, so a busy day cannot switch your feed off. Only updating the content from the platform spends credits.
Why are some updates slower this month?
Some sources, Google reviews among them, come from paid data services with monthly limits that TileSet shares. When this month's share runs low, TileSet slows those updates for everyone so it lasts the month, free accounts first and paid accounts last, and the credit meter says so with the date they speed up again. If it is used up, they wait until the 1st. Your widgets keep showing their last posts and reviews, and nothing is charged for an update that waits.
What happens if my payment fails?
Paid features stay on for 14 days while the payment is retried. After that your account runs on the free plan's rules. Widgets keep serving and no data is removed.
How do I cancel my plan?
On Plans choose Move to the free plan. The plan stays on until the end of the billing period and your widgets keep working after that on the free plan's rules.
Does a Link in bio page use credits?
No. A Link in bio page shows what your sources already fetched on their own schedule and never fetches from a platform itself, so it costs nothing however many people open it. Visits count as views of those sources, so a source you only show on your bio page keeps updating.
How often does a feed update on the free plan?
At most once a day, for every source type. Starter updates as often as every hour, and Growth and up as often as each source allows, up to every 15 minutes. Credits still decide how many updates a month you can afford on any plan.
How many sources can a free account connect?
Three live sources, plus as many demo sources as you like up to 25 in all. Starter and up hold 25. An account that already had more before this limit keeps them.
Why can I only connect 8 new sources this week?
Each new source is fetched from its platform straight away, so new connects are counted over any 7 days: 8 on the free plan, 100 on Starter and up. That is on top of the 3 live sources, so a few wrong ones are fine. Demo sources and reconnects do not count, and removing a source does not give a connect back. The message says when you can connect again.
Why is a speed on the slider dotted or locked?
A speed with a lock is above your plan's fastest, and choosing it shows which plan has it. A speed with a dotted underline is allowed by your plan, but your credits cannot carry it all month. You can still save it, and your feeds then update less often so the credits last until the refill: each source row then says how often it really updates and what that costs, for example "About every 3 days until Nov 1 (set to daily) · 10 credits a month". When none of a row's speeds fit, the row shows no dots and the credits card above the list says so once.
Why is a feature locked on my plan?
Each lock gives its reason. Some are about cost: faster updates, Update now and webhooks spend credits and call the platform, and analytics reports query stored view data. The rest are included with the plan the lock names, as part of what paid plans add.
Agents and API
Do I need an API key to use Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT?
No. Add the TileSet URL as an MCP server or connector, then approve a Google sign-in in your browser. Keys are only for scripts and CI.
Can my AI agent read my reviews and posts?
No. An agent or API key sets up and runs your widgets, and it never reads your content from any source. It gets counts for choosing a design, such as how many reviews a source holds, their star ratings and how many have photos, and a preview of the widget as visitors see it.
Account and security
What do you collect about my visitors?
Anonymous counts only: that a widget loaded, a post was opened or a link was followed. TileSet records the site's domain, never a visitor's IP address, and the script sets no cookies. Page paths are recorded only if you turn on page-level insights.
How do I export or delete my data?
Settings has an Export your data button that downloads everything TileSet holds about your account as one file, and a Danger zone. Delete account removes your sessions and keys at once and the rest within 7 days.
Where do I get help?
