Sign in and your account

Sign in with Google or a one-time emailed link. What you get on first sign-in, how long a session lasts and how to sign out.

Signing in

Press Continue with Google on the sign-in screen, or use Email me a sign-in link: enter your email address and we send you a link. The link works once and expires after 15 minutes. Opening it shows a page with your address and a Sign in button. The email option appears on the sign-in screen once email sending is switched on. There is no TileSet password. The first time, with either way, your account is created on the free plan, with no card. Google and email sign-in with the same address reach the same account.

Under the button, the box Send me product news and tips asks whether we may email you news, tips and new sources. It starts unticked in the European Union, the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and Canada, and ticked elsewhere; your answer is kept with your new account, and you can change it any time on Settings.

TileSet only accepts a Google account whose email address Google has verified. If sign-in is refused, check that the address on your Google account is verified. If the emailed link does not open, it may have expired or been used already: ask for a new one.

Sessions

A session lasts 7 days from sign-in. Sign out any time from the user menu or with Sign out on Settings. Signing out ends the session in this browser. Sign out everywhere on Settings ends every other session on your account, on any browser or device, and keeps this one. When your Google account’s address changes, your next sign-in does the same.

One account, many agents

AI agents sign in through the browser like you do and need no key; each one is listed under Agents & API, where you can revoke it. API keys are only for scripts and CI. See Connect an AI agent and API keys.

Recorded failures

Failed sign-ins and refused keys are recorded with the reason, never with your email address or a key, and are reviewed in aggregate every week. More on this in Security and privacy.
